Role Description The Head of Quality Control is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for leading all quality control activities across production processes. This role oversees inspection protocols from raw materials to finished garments, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. The Head of Quality Control establishes and updates quality control procedures, supervises laboratory testing, analyzes data trends, and drives corrective and preventive actions. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with production and quality assurance teams, conducting audits, preparing quality reports, and collaborating with management to improve systems, reduce defects, and enhance overall product reliability. The role also involves training and mentoring quality staff, supporting certification and compliance initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement programs aligned with ASMPL’s sustainability and productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to manage inspection processes and maintain product standards.
- Candidates should possess robust Quality Management skills to design systems, set KPIs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills to oversee testing methods, ensure accurate measurements, and validate fabric and garment quality.
- Relevant experience in textile or garment manufacturing quality functions, including familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing quality teams and collaborating across production, maintenance, and procurement.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with proficiency in reporting, root-cause analysis, and presenting quality improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in manufacturing, and experience implementing best practices to reduce waste and defects.
