Role Description The Head of Contingent Workforce will lead the strategy, design, and execution of contingent and extended workforce programs across HummingBird’s client portfolio and internal operations. This full-time hybrid role is based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial work from home as business needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining contingent workforce policies, governance frameworks, and performance metrics; overseeing vendor and partner relationships; and ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance requirements. The role will collaborate closely with product, sales, customer success, and operations teams to leverage HummingBird’s platform capabilities, optimize contingent talent sourcing and engagement, and drive consistent, high-quality experiences for workers and hiring stakeholders. The Head of Contingent Workforce will also analyze workforce data, recommend improvements, lead change management initiatives, and mentor a team responsible for program delivery and continuous optimization.
Qualifications
- Experience in contingent workforce management, including MSP/VMS programs, vendor management, and extended workforce strategy.
- Strong background in talent acquisition and workforce planning, with exposure to ATS/VMS integrations and unified recruitment ecosystems.
- Skills in data analysis, reporting, and decision-making using analytics, predictive insights, and forecasting tools.
- Knowledge of compliance, governance, and risk management related to contingent labor, including policies, processes, and controls.
- Proven ability in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and influencing senior leaders in complex environments.
- Experience leading and developing teams, driving operational efficiency, and managing large-scale programs or transformations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Familiarity with AI-driven recruitment technologies, digital platforms, and continuous talent engagement strategies is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., HR, procurement, project management) are an advantage.
