Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hardservices Manager located in Chennai. The Hardservices Manager will oversee operation and maintenance of building services, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, and other core engineering assets across commercial properties. Responsibilities include managing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, supervising vendors and technical staff, ensuring compliance with safety and statutory regulations, and optimizing energy efficiency and asset performance. The role involves coordinating with property management and leasing teams to support smooth facility operations for office, retail, and built-to-suit environments, while maintaining documentation, service reports, and maintenance records. The Hardservices Manager will also contribute to budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives for building infrastructure and engineering services.
Qualifications
- Strong facilities and hard services management skills, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, and building maintenance.
- Experience in commercial real estate or large office, retail, or campus environments, preferably with Grade A or multi-tenant assets.
- Knowledge of statutory and safety regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices related to building services.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning, vendor management, contract administration, and service-level monitoring.
- Ability to use CAFM/CMMS tools or other maintenance management software, with basic data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities, with clear written and verbal communication.
