ZOUK is a technology company in Mohali. We build custom web and mobile applications, websites, and do performance marketing for clients in the US and Australia.
We are building an outbound sales engine from scratch. Every deal it produces starts with one thing: a well-researched list of the right companies and the right people inside them. That's the job.
What you'll actually do
You are the research layer of our sales pipeline.
- Find companies that match a defined profile. We'll give you criteria — industry, size, funding stage, geography, technology they use, whether they're hiring for certain roles. You go find every company that fits, using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google, company websites, job boards, funding databases, and community sources.
- Find the right person inside each company. Not "someone at the company" — the specific person who would own the problem we solve. Title, seniority, and reporting line matter.
- Enrich and verify. Using Clay and similar tools, you'll append work emails, LinkedIn URLs, company details, and tech-stack signals. Then you'll verify them, because a list that bounces is worse than no list.
- Add the research that makes outreach land. For each prospect, one or two specific, true observations - a recent hire, a product launch, something on their site, a technology they've adopted. This is what turns a generic email into a relevant one.
- Keep the data clean. Deduplicate, standardise formatting, flag bad records, keep the CRM tidy. Boring, and it's what separates a list that works from one that doesn't.
- Run the sending mechanics. Loading sequences, monitoring deliverability, flagging replies to the right person, tracking what's working.
What you will not do at the start: write the offer, write the outreach copy, or run sales calls. Those come from our business development lead. As you learn the ICP and start recognising which prospects convert, you'll move into writing and then into owning first conversations. That progression is real, and it's earned, not scheduled.
What we're looking for
We are not filtering on your degree, your college, or your marks. We are filtering on four things.
- You are genuinely good at finding things. When you don't know something, your instinct is to go look, and you're stubborn about it. If we ask you to find the Head of Engineering at a 40-person company with no team page, you'd find three different angles to try before giving up.
- Detail actually bothers you. Typos in a spreadsheet, inconsistent capitalisation, two rows for the same company — these should irritate you. Most of this job is doing a careful thing a thousand times without getting sloppy on attempt four hundred.
- You can work in a spreadsheet. Filters, sorting, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, text functions, deduplication. If you've never used these, that's fine — but you should be the kind of person who'll learn them over a weekend from YouTube.
- Your written English is clean. You won't be writing client emails yet, but you will be writing research notes that someone else builds messaging on. Clear, correct, no fluff.
Nice to have, not required: any exposure to LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, HubSpot, or Google Sheets automation. Any experience with data, research, or content work. Curiosity about how software companies make money.
Please don't apply if
- You're looking for a way into a developer or designer role and see this as a side door. Say so directly and we'll tell you if we're hiring for those, but don't take this seat to wait.
- You want a job where the work is handed to you fully specified every morning.
- Repetitive, detail-heavy work drains you. There's no shame in that; this is just the wrong role.
Why take this role
Outbound list building is an unglamorous skill that is very hard to hire for and quietly valuable. The people who get good at it move into SDR and business development roles quickly, because they're the ones who actually know which customers exist and why they buy.
You'll learn a modern GTM stack: Sales Navigator, Clay, enrichment waterfalls, CRM, sequencing. Working directly with our founders. Strong performers convert to a full-time business development associate role at the end of the internship.
