Role Description The GM Service role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Panachamoottil Honda dealership in Kollam. The individual in this role oversees the day-to-day operations of the service department, including managing service staff, monitoring workflow, and ensuring timely completion of service jobs. Responsibilities include planning and implementing service processes, coordinating with parts and sales teams, and maintaining service quality standards and safety protocols. The GM Service interacts with customers to address service-related inquiries, resolve escalations, and promote a positive customer experience. The role also involves tracking key performance indicators, preparing service reports, managing budgets, and driving initiatives that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, including experience overseeing service or operations teams.
- Solid knowledge of automotive service operations and workshop processes; Honda two-wheeler experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in customer service, with skills in handling escalations, communicating clearly, and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Competence in planning, organizing, and monitoring service workflows, with attention to quality, safety, and compliance.
- Ability to analyze service performance data, prepare reports, and use basic computer applications and dealership software.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in automobile engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a service management or similar supervisory role in the automotive or retail sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ethical decision-making, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced on-site environment.
