Global AI and Programming Educator
Text Based - 10 Year Plus
Block Based - Upto 10 Years
About the role:
Join a fast-growing European EdTech company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and become part of a global community of exceptional educators. We provide live, 1-on-1 online programming and robotics classes to students aged 6–16. Our teachers play a central role in helping students build technical skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. We are looking for passionate Text-Based (Python) and Block Based (Scratch, Code.org) Programming Educators who enjoy working with young learners and can make programming engaging, interactive, and fun. The role is fully remote, allowing you to teach from the comfort of your home while working with students internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and student-focused 1-on-1 Text Based (Python) or Block Based (Scratch, Code.org Etc) programming classes.
- Teach students aged 6 –16 through live online sessions. You can choose your preferred age group
- Introduce students to programming concepts, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
- Adapt teaching approaches based on the learner’s age, level, pace, and interests.
- Assess student progress, review assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding learner progress and areas of improvement.
- Maintain a professional and engaging online classroom environment.
- Use online teaching tools and platforms effectively to deliver high-quality classes.
Working Hours:
- This is a part-time role with classes primarily scheduled during evenings on weekdays and throughout the day on weekends.
- Depending on regional allocation:
- Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM UK Time
- Weekends: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM UK Time
- Weekend availability is mandatory.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent programming experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python (text-based), or Platforms like Scratch, EduBlocks for Block Based programming.
- Knowledge of the latest AI Tools and applications
- Very Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
- Comfortable working in a live online teaching environment.
- Good understanding of online teaching tools, including Zoom.
- Laptop with a working camera and microphone and high-speed internet connection.
Technical Skills:
Candidates should have experience with several of the following:
- Python Fundamentals, Object-Oriented Programming
- Online coding environments such as Replit, Trinket, CodePad, Collab.
- Generative AI & AI Applications
- Prompt Engineering, AI-Assisted programming / Vibe Coding
