About the role
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sourcing, component procurement, supplier development, or a similar engineering procurement function.
- Mandatory global sourcing experience, including exposure to suppliers outside India.
- Strong understanding of:
- Sheet metal fabrication
- CNC machining
- EMS / electronics manufacturing
- Wiring harnesses
- Motors and motor drivers
- PCBs and embedded electronics
- Sensors, controllers, and batteries
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Working knowledge of import/export processes and commercial terms.
- Strong supplier negotiation, technical evaluation, vendor qualification, and relationship-management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in Robotics, Automation, EV, Automotive, or Industrial Equipment.
- Experience working with EMS / OEM / ODM / Contract Manufacturing partners.
- Knowledge of IPC standards, ISO quality systems, manufacturing SOPs, and quality processes.
- Exposure to ERP, procurement, or supply-chain management systems.
- Experience in supplier development, cost-down initiatives, and alternate vendor development.
