Job Title – General Manager – Planning | Engineering
Location – Pune
Job Description –
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Planning leader to lead the Planning function across Krisala’s real estate projects. The role will be responsible for project planning, construction scheduling, engineering coordination, design interface, progress monitoring, resource planning, and ensuring projects remain aligned with approved timelines and execution plans.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in planning and execution of large-scale residential, commercial, township and plotted development projects, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, project sequencing, engineering deliverables, and site execution.
Roles & Responsibilities –
- Lead the Engineering Planning function across multiple residential, commercial, township, and plotted development projects
- Develop detailed project schedules covering engineering, design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover activities
- Prepare and monitor master schedules, baseline schedules, micro-level schedules, milestone plans, and recovery schedules
- Coordinate with Project, Construction, Design, MEP, Procurement, Contracts, QS, and other engineering teams to ensure timely execution
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, critical activities, dependencies, and bottlenecks
- Drive schedule adherence through regular review of site progress, engineering deliverables, material availability, contractor activities, and construction milestones
- Review and monitor design deliverables, drawings, approvals, and technical dependencies impacting project execution
- Work closely with project and site teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans for schedule deviations
- Conduct periodic planning and progress review meetings with project teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Prepare project MIS, progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, variance analysis, and management reports
- Track key project milestones and provide timely visibility to senior management on project status, risks, and potential delays
- Ensure effective coordination between planning and execution teams to achieve project timelines and delivery targets
- Establish and standardize planning processes, monitoring systems, reporting formats, and project controls across projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Planning team while driving performance through defined KRAs and KPIs
Must-Have Skills –
- Strong experience in Engineering Planning / Project Planning within real estate or construction
- Proven experience handling planning for large-scale residential, commercial, township, and/or plotted development projects
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning tools
- Exposure to high-rise construction, Mivan/Aluform construction, RCC structures, MEP coordination, and large-scale infrastructure works
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, engineering activities, and project execution
- Expertise in project scheduling, baseline planning, progress monitoring, critical path analysis, and recovery planning
- Strong experience in coordinating with Design, Engineering, MEP, Procurement, Contracts, QS, and Project Execution teams
- Experience in monitoring project progress and preparing detailed MIS, dashboards, S-curves, and variance reports
- Strong understanding of project timelines, dependencies, resource planning, and construction milestones
- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring Planning teams
- Strong analytical, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills –
- Experience with leading real estate developers or reputed construction/EPC organizations
- Experience in project recovery planning, delay analysis, and schedule optimization
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction interfaces from design stage through execution and handover
Educational Background –
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from an AICTE-approved and/or UGC-recognized institution
- Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution will be preferred
