Role Overview
We are looking for a General Manager – Operations to take ownership of the overall operational execution of Sharda Energy Tech.
The role will involve coordinating across teams, vendors, consultants and external agencies to ensure that key business and operational activities are completed correctly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the setup and operational readiness of the BESS manufacturing facility.
- Drive execution across factory setup, machinery installation, utilities and production readiness.
- Coordinate statutory licences, registrations, regulatory approvals and product certifications.
- Work across production, procurement, supply chain, quality, HR, administration and engineering teams.
- Manage vendors, consultants, contractors and external agencies.
- Track timelines, resolve bottlenecks and ensure closure of critical operational activities.
- Support procurement, negotiations and appointment of vendors/service providers.
- Establish basic operational processes, reporting systems and accountability.
- Provide regular progress updates to management and highlight key risks or pending decisions.
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, projects or manufacturing.
- Battery/BESS industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing facility setup or industrial projects would be an advantage.
- Strong project management, vendor management and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and drive them to completion.
- Strong ownership, execution and problem-solving mindset.
The role will report directly to the Director.
