About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, high-impact GM HRBP to partner directly with our Founder & CEO to build, scale, and lead the complete People function from the ground up. As the HR leader, you will balance high-level strategic talent planning with hands-on execution. You will drive organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, culture, and compliance to support our rapid growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership & Founder Partnership
- Partner directly with the Founder and executive leadership to align the People strategy with business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, and change management.
- Build scalable HR frameworks, policies, and processes suited for a fast-paced startup environment.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Architect end-to-end recruitment strategies to attract top-tier technical and non-technical talent.
- Establish structured interview loops, candidate evaluation rubrics, and competitive offer strategies.
- Position the company as an employer of choice through active employer branding initiatives.
3. Performance, Compensation & Rewards
- Design and execute performance management systems (e.g., OKRs/KPIs, continuous feedback loops, annual reviews).
- Benchmark competitive compensation structures, incentive plans, and ESOP (Employee Stock Option) policies.
- Identify key talent, develop career ladders, and build retention strategies for top performers.
4. Organizational Culture & Engagement
- Define, articulate, and embed core company values into daily operations and employee lifecycles.
- Driver initiatives that foster high employee engagement, psychological safety, and team cohesion.
- Establish clear internal communications channels to maintain alignment during hyper-growth.
5. HR Operations, Compliance & Systems
- Implement modern HR Tech stack tools (HRIS, ATS, Performance & Payroll management systems).
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and workplace policies.
- Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and employee relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior HRBP or HR Lead role within a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
- Founder Alignment: Proven track record of working directly with Founders, CEOs, or executive leadership teams.
- Builder Mindset: Strong history of designing HR processes from scratch (0-to-1) and scaling them (1-to-100).
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in tracking and leveraging HR analytics (turnover rates, time-to-hire, eNPS) to drive business decisions.
- Problem Solver: Exceptional conflict resolution skills, high emotional intelligence (EQ), and strong business acumen.
- Education: Master’s degree or MBA in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
