Role Description The GEM Operator will manage day-to-day operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, including listing products and services, updating catalogs, and ensuring compliance with platform guidelines. This full-time role involves coordinating with internal teams to gather product information, preparing documentation, and tracking orders, bids, and tenders on the portal. The GEM Operator will monitor pricing, inventory, and contract terms, generate operational reports, and support resolution of portal-related queries. The position is on-site and based in Kanpur, requiring close collaboration with the sales, procurement, and finance teams to support smooth GeM transactions and timely submissions.
Qualifications
- Experience with Government e-Marketplace (GeM) operations, including product listing, bid participation, and tender management.
- Strong data handling skills, such as basic Excel proficiency, documentation, and record-keeping for orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Good communication and coordination abilities to work with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and clients.
- Attention to detail and compliance mindset to follow GeM portal guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Basic understanding of procurement or sales processes; prior experience in government or B2B e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Kanpur, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Minimum qualification of a graduate degree or diploma in any discipline; familiarity with technology tools and online portals is preferred.
