Role Description The GCMS Expert will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) instruments in an on-site laboratory setting in Panchkula. This full-time role involves method development and validation, sample preparation, analysis, and interpretation of results across domains such as pharmaceuticals, food, environment, and materials. The GCMS Expert will prepare technical reports, ensure data integrity, and adhere to NABL, national, and international quality standards. Daily tasks include calibration and performance checks, documentation in line with laboratory quality systems, and collaboration with other scientists and technicians to support regulatory and client requirements. The role also involves contributing to process improvement, training junior staff on GCMS techniques, and supporting audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in GCMS operation, method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess skills in sample preparation, extraction techniques, and analytical problem-solving for complex matrices.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of quality systems, GLP/GMP practices, NABL requirements, and regulatory guidelines relevant to analytical testing.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in data analysis, chromatogram interpretation, and report preparation using GCMS software and related tools.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a laboratory team.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience in accredited testing laboratories, especially in pharmaceutical, food, or environmental analysis, is an advantage.
- Ability to follow safety protocols, manage multiple assignments, and meet timelines in a high-throughput lab environment is preferred.
