Reya Apparel is an in-house apparel manufacturing unit based in Mayapuri, New Delhi, India, specializing in white-label and private-label production for women’s fashion brands. The company offers end-to-end solutions for Western, Indo-Western, and Indian women’s wear, from design development and sampling to bulk production and export-ready coordination. With in-house designers, merchandisers, and quality control, Reya Apparel delivers consistent production, low minimum order quantities, and strict buyer confidentiality, including custom labels and tags. The team has expertise in hand and machine embroidery and sources fabrics such as cotton, linen blends, viscose, rayon, and fashion fabrics from trusted domestic and international suppliers, including direct sourcing from China. Reya Apparel partners with fashion brands and buying agents in India and overseas.
Role Description
The Garment Quality Control professional will be responsible for inspecting women’s apparel at various stages of production to ensure that finished products meet established quality standards and buyer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include checking fabric quality, measurements, stitching, embroidery work, trims, and labeling; monitoring in-line production processes; and documenting defects and corrective actions. The role involves close coordination with designers, merchandisers, and production supervisors to address quality issues, improve processes, and maintain consistency across sampling and bulk orders. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Reya Apparel’s manufacturing unit in Mayapuri, New Delhi, India.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in garment inspection, measurement checking, seam and stitch evaluation, and finishing quality for women’s wear.
- Ability to interpret tech packs, reference images, and buyer specifications, and translate them into clear quality checkpoints.
- Knowledge of fabric types (cotton, linen blends, viscose, rayon, and fashion fabrics) and common fabric and embroidery defects.
- Experience working with hand and machine embroidery garments, including verifying embroidery placement, density, and thread quality.
- Competence in preparing inspection reports, maintaining quality records, and communicating findings to production and merchandising teams.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying root causes of defects and suggesting improvements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively on the production floor, manage time across multiple styles and orders, and work to delivery timelines.
- Prior experience in garment quality control or apparel manufacturing, ideally in women’s wear, is highly beneficial.
- Basic computer literacy for using spreadsheets or QC software and comfort with on-site, factory-floor work environments.
