Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced QC Inspector – Welding with strong hands-on experience in fabrication-shop quality control and welding inspection.
The ideal candidate must have ADNOC / Middle East Oil & Gas Operator approval as a QC Inspector – Welding, along with relevant welding inspection and NDT certifications and a minimum of 8 years of relevant Middle East fabrication experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication quality inspections in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
- Inspect welding activities, including fit-up, welding parameters, consumables, visual inspection, and associated documentation.
- Verify welding and fabrication activities comply with approved WPS/PQR and project quality requirements.
- Review and verify NDT activities and reports, including:
- RT – Radiographic Testing
- UT – Ultrasonic Testing
- MT – Magnetic Particle Testing
- PT – Penetrant Testing
- Coordinate with welding, fabrication, QA/QC, and NDT teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and related documentation.
- Support quality inspections and ensure fabrication activities meet required standards before client inspection and acceptance.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- ADNOC / Middle East Oil & Gas Operator approval as QC Inspector – Welding.
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS certification.
- ASNT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT & PT.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in major Middle East fabrication shops.
- Strong practical experience in welding inspection and fabrication quality control.
- Experience with NDT coordination and inspection documentation.
- Fluent English communication is mandatory.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with the following background will be strongly preferred:
- Extensive Middle East fabrication experience.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas fabrication projects.
- Proven ADNOC/client-approved inspection experience.
- Strong knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication quality requirements.
- Experience coordinating with NDT teams, fabrication teams, QA/QC teams, and clients.
- Strong understanding of client quality requirements and inspection processes.
Important Candidate Requirement
ADNOC / Middle East Oil & Gas Operator approval is a mandatory requirement for this position.
