Job Summary
The Showroom Manager is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the furniture showroom. The role involves driving sales, managing the showroom team, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, controlling inventory, and achieving business targets while ensuring smooth showroom operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive showroom revenue and maximize profitability.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase walk-ins and conversions.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling of furniture and home décor products.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, architects, interior designers, and corporate clients.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the showroom sales team.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage daily manpower allocation.
- Conduct daily sales briefings and performance reviews.
- Coach and train employees on product knowledge, customer handling, and sales techniques.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, and adherence to company policies.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives exceptional service.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement measures.
- Ensure timely follow-up on quotations, enquiries, and pending orders.
Showroom Operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the showroom.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, ambience, and visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
- Ensure product displays are attractive, updated, and properly maintained.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct regular stock verification and audits.
- Coordinate stock replenishment with the purchase department.
- Minimize stock loss, damage, and inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper tagging and pricing of all display products.
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Monitor showroom expenses and control operational costs.
- Coordinate with HR, Accounts, Purchase, Service, and Logistics departments.
- Ensure statutory and safety compliance within the showroom.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of showroom sales targets.
- Gross profit and revenue growth.
- Conversion ratio (Walk-ins to Sales).
- Average billing value.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
- Inventory accuracy and stock control.
- Delivery coordination and order fulfilment.
- Team productivity and employee retention.
- Visual merchandising and showroom maintenance.
- Attendance, discipline, and policy compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Retail Management is an advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in retail sales.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Showroom Manager, preferably in the furniture, home décor, interiors, or lifestyle retail industry.

Working Conditions
- Six-day work week with rotational weekly off.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays as per retail business requirements.
- Flexible to travel between showroom locations whenever required.
