As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will...
- Design, develop and maintain innovative web and mobile applications that support patients, clinicians and internal business teams.
- Build high-quality front-end experiences using modern technologies such as React, React Native and TypeScript.
- Develop secure, scalable and maintainable backend services and APIs using technologies such as Node.js and Express.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, clinical, operations and engineering colleagues to define, design and deliver new applications and features.
- Take ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through to testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend services, APIs, databases and third-party platforms.
- Work with data engineers and software engineers to ensure applications make effective use of reliable and trusted data.
- Develop solutions that support reporting, analytics and future AI-enabled healthcare capabilities.
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with other developers to continuously improve code quality and development standards.
- Design and implement responsive applications that provide an excellent user experience across mobile and web platforms.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, reliability and security.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of our cloud-based architecture using Microsoft Azure.
- Test, debug and troubleshoot applications to identify and resolve issues, improve performance and ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Build and maintain integrations using APIs and data formats such as JSON.
- Contribute to improving development processes, engineering standards and technical decision-making.
- Help improve deployment pipelines, automation and development processes using modern DevOps practices.
- Maintain clear technical documentation including application architecture, APIs, features and key technical decisions.
- Support secure handling of sensitive healthcare information in line with data protection and security requirements.
- Work with cloud-based technologies and deployment processes to support reliable delivery of software solutions.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve our products and engineering practices.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Commercial experience developing full stack applications.
- Strong experience with React, React Native and TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend services using Node.js and Express.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of SQL, databases and data modelling principles.
- Experience integrating applications with third-party systems and external APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git and modern software development workflows.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker would be advantageous.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Experience working with healthcare, health technology or other regulated industries would be beneficial.
- Understanding of authentication, authorisation and application security principles.
- Experience working with sensitive personal data and GDPR requirements.
- An interest in artificial intelligence and experience integrating AI services or automation into applications would be advantageous.
