Role Description The Freight Operations and Pricing Executive (Sea / Air) will manage day-to-day freight operations, including coordination of sea and air shipments, documentation, and communication with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad will involve preparing and reviewing freight quotations, negotiating rates with carriers and agents, and ensuring pricing accuracy aligned with company policies and market conditions. The executive will monitor shipment status, proactively resolve operational issues, and support compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. The role will also include maintaining operational records, contributing to process improvements, and supporting sales and customer service teams with timely and reliable information.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret freight rates, cost structures, and shipment data for accurate pricing and problem-solving.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with clients, carriers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support quotation preparation, rate negotiations, and conversion of opportunities into successful shipments.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to coordinate sea and air freight movements, documentation, and on-time execution of shipments.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to handle multiple shipments concurrently, manage timelines, and ensure follow-through on operational tasks.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or customs brokerage (especially sea and air freight) is highly beneficial.
- Working knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), carrier pricing, and basic customs regulations is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with digital platforms and dashboards used for freight and customs management.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a process-driven, accountability-focused environment.
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
