Job Description – Founder’s Office Associate
Location: Bangalore (preferably North Bangalore, around Ramaiah)
Work Mode: Work from Office
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM (with flexibility to work US/UK shifts when required)
About the Role
Filter You is looking for a Founder’s Office Associate — a curious, driven, and resourceful individual who loves solving problems, making things happen, and figuring out how to take a business to the next level.
We’re looking for someone who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution, someone who can go from brainstorming a big idea with the founders to rolling up their sleeves and making it happen.
Think of yourself as the founder’s right hand — a cross-functional problem solver, an idea champion, and an all-round hustler who isn’t afraid to take ownership, challenge the obvious, or dive into something completely new.
One day, you could be working on a new business opportunity. The next, you could be streamlining an internal process, putting together a pitch for a potential client, exploring a new market, or figuring out how to make the company work smarter and grow faster.
If you’re someone who constantly asks “Why not?”, loves a good challenge, and believes that no task is too big or too small when you’re building something exciting, this role is for you.
The role will work directly with the founders, offering a front-row seat to the world of entrepreneurship, business strategy, decision-making, and building a company from the ground up.
A Typical Day at Filter You as a Founder’s Office Associate Would Look Like
- Founder’s Right Hand: Work closely with the founders on business priorities, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day challenges. Help translate ideas into actionable plans and ensure things move from discussion to execution.
- Business Growth & Strategy: Research new markets, identify growth opportunities, explore potential partnerships, and contribute ideas that help Filter You expand its business and strengthen its market position.
- New Business & Partnerships: Support business development initiatives, identify prospective clients and collaborators, prepare pitch decks and proposals, and help build relationships that open doors to new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Hustle: Work across different teams and functions, including strategy, marketing, creative, sales, and operations. Connect the dots, bring people together, and ensure projects move forward smoothly.
- Ideas to Execution: Take ownership of projects from start to finish. Whether it’s launching an initiative, experimenting with a new idea, or solving an operational challenge, you’ll be responsible for driving progress and getting things done.
- Operations & Process Improvement: Identify gaps, simplify workflows, improve internal processes, and help build systems that make the company more efficient as it grows.
- Research & Insights: Stay curious about the startup ecosystem, emerging technologies, AR/VR, the creator economy, marketing trends, and competitor activity. Bring relevant insights and fresh perspectives to the table.
- Numbers & Business Thinking: Help track business performance, monitor key metrics, analyse data, and turn insights into recommendations that support better decision-making.
- Special Projects: Take the lead on high-priority projects that may not fit neatly into any one department. Be ready to figure things out, learn on the go, and make things happen.
- Culture & Team Building: Contribute to building a strong, collaborative, and high-energy team culture. Help create an environment where people enjoy working together, ideas are encouraged, and everyone takes ownership.
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience. Experience in a startup, consulting, business development, operations, or a founder’s office role would be an added advantage.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — someone who sees opportunities where others see problems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think logically and creatively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong research, project management, and organisational abilities.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- A practical, hands-on approach. You don’t just come up with ideas; you find ways to execute them.
- A willingness to learn quickly, take feedback, and work independently when needed.
- The ability to work with different people, personalities, and teams.
- A good understanding of business fundamentals, with a genuine interest in startups, technology, and building businesses.
What It Takes to Fit Right into Our Crazy Team
- Curiosity over comfort: You’re always asking questions, exploring possibilities, and trying to understand how things work.
- Ownership over excuses: If something needs to get done, you take responsibility and figure out how to make it happen.
- Ideas over “that’s how it’s always been done”: You challenge conventional thinking and aren't afraid to suggest a better way.
- Speed with substance: You move fast, but you know the difference between being busy and creating impact.
- Adaptability over job titles: You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping outside your comfort zone.
- Discipline behind the hustle: You follow through, stay organised, and deliver on your commitments.
- Teamwork over ego: You collaborate, communicate openly, and care about the bigger picture.
- A builder’s mindset: You get excited about creating something from scratch and watching it grow.
Why Join the Founder’s Office at Filter You?
- A Front-Row Seat to Entrepreneurship: Work directly with the founders and understand how a business is built, run, and scaled.
- High Ownership, Real Impact: Take responsibility for meaningful projects and see the direct impact of your work on the company's growth.
- A Steep Learning Curve: Gain exposure to strategy, business development, marketing, operations, partnerships, and decision-making.
- Room to Experiment: Bring your ideas to life, test new approaches, learn from failures, and discover what works.
- No Two Days Are the Same: Work on diverse challenges that keep you thinking, learning, and growing.
- A Team That Values the Right Vibes: Work with a young, creative, and collaborative team that believes building a company should be as exciting as the company itself.
