About the Role
We are looking for a Footwear Merchandiser who has practical experience in footwear product development, sampling, material management and production coordination.
The person will be responsible for taking footwear products from customer requirement → development → sampling → material planning → production.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage footwear product development and sampling from concept to production.
* Coordinate with customers for designs, specifications, samples and approvals.
* Prepare BOM, specifications, costing and development sheets.
* Coordinate with mould, material, sampling and production teams.
* Plan and manage raw materials and footwear components required for development and production.
* Coordinate with suppliers for timely material availability.
* Monitor material quality, colour, specifications, consumption and wastage.
* Maintain supplier and material databases.
* Track sample approvals, modifications and development timelines.
* Coordinate with production and QC teams to resolve product/material issues.
* Support product costing and material cost optimisation.
* Maintain proper records of samples, materials, approvals and customer requirements.
We Are Looking For
✅ 2–3 years of footwear merchandising/product development experience
✅ Strong knowledge of footwear materials and components
✅ Hands-on experience in footwear sampling and development
✅ Understanding of material planning, procurement and inventory
✅ Good knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes
✅ Strong coordination and follow-up skills
✅ Good communication and problem-solving ability
✅ Sonipat-based candidates or candidates from nearby areas preferred
⭐ Experience in EVA footwear / injection moulding will be an advantage.
Important
Candidates with only apparel/textile merchandising experience will not be considered.
