Job Description: Assistant Merchandising Analyst

We’re looking for Assistant Merchandising Analyst who blends creativity with commercial intelligence. Someone who can enhance product while also understanding consumer trends, demand, pricing logic, and merchandising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1 - Brand and Innovation
• Understands brand identity, product storytelling, and merchandising mix
• Stays updated with industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape
• Collaborate with vendors, factories, and internal teams to ensure timely sample development.
• Ensure product quality, fit, comfort, and durability meet brand standards.
• Forecast demand and plan inventory to maximise sales and minimise markdowns.
• Define assortment mix, price points, and SKU depth based on consumer insights.
2- Data-Driven Decision Making
• Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to optimize product mix.
• Use dashboards and BI tools to track performance and inform future planning.
• Identify growth opportunities within categories and recommend actions.
• Work with Business team to define category mix, price points, and SKU depth.
• Ensure designs are commercially viable and aligned with revenue goals.
3 - Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with sourcing, production, and marketing teams for seamless product launches.
• Coordinate with the e-commerce and retail teams to ensure product storytelling and visual merchandising are aligned with design intent.
4 - Fashion & Trend Alignment
• Stay ahead of global and local footwear trends to curate relevant assortments.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure collections reflect both fashion and comfort.
• Balance creativity with practicality to deliver products customers love
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in category merchandising, inventory planning & Brand Growth.
• Strong understanding of materials and comfort engineering.
• Proficiency in excel, Data Savvy
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into design and assortment decisions.
• Strong aesthetic sense, trend awareness, and commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and vendor coordination skills.
