Role Description The Food Safety Auditor will perform full-time, on-site audits at client locations in and around Chennai to assess compliance with food safety regulations and internal standards. Daily responsibilities include reviewing processes and documentation, inspecting facilities and production lines, and evaluating hygiene, storage, and handling practices. The role involves preparing detailed audit reports, recommending corrective and preventive actions, and following up on the implementation of improvements. The auditor will collaborate with client teams to provide guidance on regulatory requirements, support certification processes, and deliver training sessions on food safety and quality practices as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Food Technology and Food Science, with the ability to apply technical concepts to real-world food industry operations.
- Candidates should possess Auditing skills, including conducting systematic assessments, documenting findings, and preparing clear, actionable reports.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance skills to evaluate and improve processes, monitor compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Candidates should possess Training capabilities to educate client staff on food safety standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of national and international food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO-related frameworks).
- Strong analytical and observation skills, with attention to detail and integrity in reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work on-site with diverse client teams in Chennai.
- Prior experience in food safety auditing or quality roles in the food industry is preferred.
