Role Description The Food Safety Auditor at Allset is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The auditor will conduct inspections and assessments of food production and handling processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Daily responsibilities include reviewing documentation, performing facility and process audits, identifying non-conformities, and preparing clear, detailed audit reports and recommendations. The role also involves collaborating with client teams to support corrective actions, advising on best practices in food safety and quality, and delivering training sessions to improve compliance and awareness. The Food Safety Auditor will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards and promote continuous improvement in food safety systems.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Food Technology and Food Science.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Auditing and Quality Assurance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Training, including the ability to educate and coach operational teams on food safety and compliance.
- Relevant degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Understanding of national and international food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple audits, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, hospitality, or regulatory environments is an advantage.
