Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Fixed Assets Accountant to manage the organization's fixed asset accounting processes, ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and support financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, GST, TDS, customs regulations, and Indian accounting standards while maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
What You’ll Do
Fixed Asset Management
Capitalize assets in accordance with accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Review and process asset additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, and impairments.
Calculate and record depreciation/amortization on a monthly basis.
Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
Support physical verification of assets and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor CWIP (Capital Work-in-Progress) and facilitate timely capitalization.
Ensure compliance with internal asset management and capitalization policies.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Prepare month-end and year-end fixed asset schedules and reconciliations.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and SOX/internal control requirements.
Prepare month-end and year-end fixed asset schedules and reconciliations.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and SOX/internal control requirements.
Prepare reports related to capital expenditure (CAPEX) and asset movements.
Assist in financial close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, or US GAAP requirements, as applicable.
GST Compliance
Review GST applicability on capital asset procurements.
Verify GST input tax credit (ITC) eligibility on capital goods.
Reconcile GST records with purchase registers and fixed asset records.
Support GST audits and respond to tax authority queries.
Ensure accurate classification and reporting of capital asset transactions under GST.
Customs & Import Compliance
Review import documentation relating to capital equipment and machinery.
Ensure proper accounting of customs duties, IGST, and other import-related taxes.
Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customs brokers for compliance requirements.
Maintain records for customs audits and assessments.
Monitor compliance with import/export regulations applicable to capital asset acquisitions.
Process Improvement & Controls
Strengthen internal controls around asset procurement, capitalization, and disposal.
Develop and maintain SOPs for fixed asset accounting and compliance processes.
Identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements.
Partner with procurement, operations, tax, and legal teams on asset-related matters.
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting and CAPEX management.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Customs, and Import Compliance.
- Good understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, or US GAAP.
- Experience in SAP ERP system is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance preferred.
- 4-8 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting and Compliance.
- Experience in multinational companies or manufacturing organizations preferred.
