Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Finance Manager located in Chennai. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, supporting the finance team, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Financial management: budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, MIS and management reporting.
- Accounting: overseeing books of accounts, month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations and audit support.
- Direct taxation: income-tax computations, TDS, advance tax, tax audits, assessments and related filings.
- GST: GST returns, reconciliations, input-tax-credit checks, GST audits/notices and compliance.
- Corporate compliance: coordination with statutory auditors, internal auditors and regulatory requirements.
- Financial controls: improving processes, preventing errors/leakage and ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Business support: providing management with profitability, cost, working-capital and tax-impact analysis.
- Team management: supervising accountants and coordinating with consultants, auditors and tax professional#
Qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent
- CA is often preferred for more senior positions
- Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax and TDS
- Advanced Excel and preferably ERP experience such as Tally and Xero
- Experience with financial reporting, audits and statutory compliance
