Role Description The Finance Manager at Cutie Pie Cakes will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for the bakery’s on-site activities in Alappuzha. This full-time, on-site role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring expenses and revenues, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting. The Finance Manager will develop and implement financial controls, coordinate with external accountants or auditors, and support compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role also includes analyzing financial performance, providing insights to leadership on cost optimization and profitability, and supporting strategic decisions such as pricing, investment in equipment, and expansion plans. The individual will collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and sales teams to align financial practices with business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to support short-term and long-term business decisions.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping, including preparation and review of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Experience with financial controls, internal audits, and compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide clear recommendations on cost management and profitability improvement.
- Comfort with using financial software or ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills for modeling and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operations, sales, and leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or CPA) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or small business finance is beneficial, particularly in cost control and inventory-related finance.
