We are looking for a motivated Mechatronics Engineer (Fresher) to join our team to handle servicing, demonstration, and testing of advanced medical devices later leading into development roles. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and healthcare, offering opportunities to work with cutting-edge medical equipment and make a difference in patient care. A believer and not a skeptic with an ability to wear multiple hats required in a startup.
As an Field Applications Engineer engineer, you will be responsible for :
- Deliver product demonstrations and explain device functionality to customers, partners, and end users.
- Handle installation, basic servicing, and first-level troubleshooting of medical devices.
- Provide timely customer support and user training during deployment and post-installation.
- Assist in device testing, calibration, and performance checks to ensure readiness and reliability.
- Perform staining of clinical samples (e.g., Pap smear / cytology / histology slides as applicable) as per defined laboratory protocols, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Coordinate and carry out sample pick-up from partner clinics, hospitals, and labs, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and chain-of-custody during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of sample logs, staining batches, demos, service visits, and technical observations.
- Work closely with internal teams (lab, R&D, QA) to address technical issues and share customer/lab feedback.
- Participate in expos and promotional activities with the sales team.
- Visit vendor and clinic locations to assist the development team with sample collection and deliveries.
Education: - Bachelor's / Diploma degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/BMLT), Biotechnology, or related life-sciences/clinical fields.
Technical Knowledge:- Fundamental knowledge of medical devices, sensors, and instrumentation from coursework or final-year/internship projects.
- Awareness of common staining techniques (e.g., Pap/H&E or equivalent) and slide preparation, as taught in the curriculum or practicals.
- Basic understanding of biosafety, hygiene, and specimen handling norms as covered in academic labs.
- Comfortable using computers, MS Office/Google Workspace, and willing to learn new software tools and reporting formats on the job.
Skills & Attributes- Willingness to learn hands-on lab and field skills (staining, sample handling, device operation) through on-the-job training.
- Good communication skills in English/Kannada/Hindi, with the confidence to interact with clinicians, lab staff, and customers after initial guidance.
- Comfortable working with biological/clinical samples and following safety instructions diligently.
- Basic problem-solving ability and eagerness to take initiative.
- Open to traveling locally for sample pick-up, demos, and customer visits, with training and support provided initially.
- Team player who can take feedback well and adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A believer and not a skeptic, with the ability to wear multiple hats in a startup.
Job Details- Experience: Fresher (0–1 year); no prior work experience required — relevant coursework, internships, or academic projects in clinical labs, pathology, or medical devices are a plus but not mandatory.
- Job Type: Full-time.
- Location: Bangalore, with travel as required for customer support and demos.
- Note: Need to have their own vehicle for local travel to Vendors and customers.
