Profile Overview:
The Runway Coach for Kids at Juniors Group of Companies (JGC) will specialize in training and mentoring young models (aged 3–16) registered with JGC to develop their runway skills for events such as Juniors Fashion Week (JFW) and other kidswear fashion shows or shoots. The role focuses on delivering both online and offline training sessions to teach confident runway techniques, foster self-esteem, and prepare junior models for auditions, live performances, and shoots in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate manner. The coach will collaborate with event organizers, brands, and parents to ensure a positive and professional experience for young talent.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Runway Training for Junior Models (Online and Offline):
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions, both online (via platforms like Zoom or Google Meet) and offline (in-person workshops), to teach junior models runway walking techniques, including posture, pacing, and posing.
- Use creative and fun methods tailored to children to build confidence and stage presence, ensuring young models feel comfortable and empowered during shows and shoots.
- Teach models how to walk in various outfits, including high heels (where age-appropriate), while emphasizing balance and poise for runway and shoot settings.
- Preparation for Auditions, Shows, and Shoots:
- Prepare junior models for castings, auditions, live performances, and photoshoots through structured online and offline sessions, ensuring readiness for kidswear brand campaigns and JFW events.
- Provide guidance on facial expressions, body language, and runway/photo shoot etiquette to align with industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct mock auditions and rehearsals, both virtually and in-person, to simulate real-world casting and shooting scenarios, offering constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Fashion Styling and Wardrobe management skills, with an eye for detail and current trends in kids’ fashion.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills for working with junior models, guardians, clients, and brand representatives.
- Candidates should possess Sales and client engagement skills to support brand presentations, fittings, and fashion events that drive business outcomes.
- Candidates should possess experience in choreography for fashion shows, events, or performances, including training and directing models on stage.
- Relevant experience in children’s or youth fashion, event management, or retail fashion is beneficial.
- Formal education in Fashion Design, Styling, Performing Arts, or a related field is beneficial but equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Ability to work flexible hours during events, handle fast-paced environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams is preferred.
