Please note: Only applications with portfolio and relevant documents submitted via email to career@trovill.com will be considered.
TROVILL | Berlin | Menswear
TROVILL is looking for a Fashion Designer & Garment Technologist to support the development of our menswear collections — from initial design concepts through sampling, technical development and final production.
We are open to candidates ranging from fresh graduates and interns to professionals with up to 4–5 years of experience. What matters most to us is strong technical understanding, attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing well-made menswear.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop menswear designs and collections using Adobe Illustrator
- Create detailed tech packs, including measurements, fit, garment construction, seams, stitching and finishing details
- Prepare and maintain graded measurement/specification sheets
- Manage product development from prototype and sampling through corrections and final approvals
- Review garment fit, workmanship and construction and communicate clear corrections to factories
- Prepare production-ready files for labels, embroidery, trims, prints and embellishments
- Coordinate directly with international manufacturers and suppliers
- Follow up on sampling and production timelines and ensure development requirements are correctly implemented
- Conduct production follow-ups and quality reviews through to final bulk delivery
- Prepare and review packaging specifications, artwork and production files
- Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout the product development process
What We’re Looking For
- Education or experience in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Apparel Production or a related field
- Good understanding of menswear, garment construction, fit and measurements
- Understanding of European menswear fits and production standards
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to create and understand professional tech packs and garment specifications
- Understanding of fabrics, trims, stitching, seams and garment finishing
- Basic understanding of grading and size specifications is highly desirable
- Understanding of packaging artwork and production files is an advantage
- Strong communication and ability to coordinate with international vendors
- High attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving mindset
Experience
0–5 years
Fresh graduates and interns with strong technical skills and a good portfolio are encouraged to apply.
Previous factory, sampling, product development or production experience is an advantage, but not mandatory for junior candidates.
Why TROVILL?
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely across the complete product development cycle — design, technical development, sampling, fit, supplier communication, production and quality — rather than being limited to only one part of the process.
If you have a strong eye for menswear and enjoy turning a design idea into a technically well-executed garment, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply: Please send your CV along with your portfolio and, where possible, examples of tech packs, technical drawings or garment specification work.
