Role Description The Experienced Fundraiser will lead and execute fundraising initiatives to support Hamari Raah Foundation’s programs and long-term sustainability. This full-time, on-site role in Delhi, India involves developing fundraising strategies, identifying and cultivating donors, writing grant proposals, and managing donor relationships and reporting. The role includes organizing fundraising campaigns and events, coordinating with program teams to align funding needs with impact goals, and preparing compelling communication materials for institutional and individual donors. The Experienced Fundraiser will track fundraising performance, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-ups and stewardship. Collaboration with leadership to explore new funding opportunities and partnerships is an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, including donor prospecting, donor relationship management, and grant writing for nonprofits.
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to develop persuasive proposals, presentations, and impact reports.
- Experience designing and executing fundraising campaigns and events, including budgeting, planning, and post-event evaluation.
- Ability to analyze fundraising data, maintain accurate records, and use CRM or donor management tools to track engagement and outcomes.
- Knowledge of the social sector, especially in education, women’s empowerment, and community development, with sensitivity to diverse communities.
- Capacity to work on-site in Delhi, India, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Social Work, Development Studies, Business, Communications, or related discipline); advanced qualifications are an asset.
- Prior experience working with corporate CSR, foundations, and individual philanthropy in India is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in English, with working knowledge of Hindi or other local languages considered an advantage.
