Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer role based in Rajkot. The Estimation Engineer will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate BOQs and pricing. The role involves coordinating with design, engineering, and procurement teams to gather technical and cost information, and preparing quotations and proposals for clients.
The Estimation Engineer will analyze market rates, vendor quotations, and project budgets, and support negotiations with clients and suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining estimation records, updating cost databases, conducting site visits when required, and supporting project teams during execution with clarification on estimates and scope.
Qualifications
- The ideal Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation.
- Candidates should possess relevant knowledge in Electrical Engineering or allied engineering disciplines.
- Person should possess effective negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess solid research skills for analyzing market rates, technical options, and cost benchmarks.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Experience in estimation for electrical panels, industrial electrical projects, or EPC works is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities with proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Good communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tenders or projects simultaneously.
