Role Description The Senior Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot. This role is responsible for designing and developing AC drive systems, PLC control panels, and related automation solutions, including detailed electrical and control schematics. The Senior Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements, prepare design concepts, select components, and ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards. Daily activities include reviewing specifications, creating and updating CAD drawings, supporting panel manufacturing and testing, and resolving design issues during production and commissioning. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and providing technical support to sales and service teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in industrial automation design, including AC drives, PLC control panels, and HMI integration.
- Proficiency with electrical and control system design tools (e.g., CAD/ECAD software) and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
- Solid understanding of instrumentation, motor control, power distribution, and control logic.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, prepare documentation, and collaborate effectively with manufacturing and commissioning teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Several years of progressive experience in design engineering within automation or related industries, preferably in panel manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration.
