Role Description The PMC Engineer (Interior Fit-out Project) will oversee end-to-end project management for retail interior fit-out projects, ensuring timely and quality execution in line with client requirements and company standards. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal design teams, as well as monitoring project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and BOQs, supervising site activities, conducting quality and safety checks, and resolving technical and operational issues on-site. The PMC Engineer will prepare progress reports, maintain project documentation, and support audits and handover processes. The role requires proactive communication, strong follow-through, and a focus on delivering sustainable, high-performing retail spaces.
Qualifications
- Strong project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating multiple interior fit-out sites.
- Technical knowledge in interior fit-out execution, including understanding of drawings, materials, BOQs, and construction methods.
- Experience in site supervision, quality control, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for working with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address on-site issues and ensure project continuity.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Previous experience in retail interior projects or fit-out works is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site , manage field conditions, and travel to project locations as required.
