We are looking for an experienced and engaging English Communication & Professional Communication Trainer to deliver structured communication programs for students, graduates, working professionals, and career-transition learners.
Role Overview
The trainer will be responsible for delivering English Communication Levels 1–4 and Professional Communication programs, helping learners progress from foundational English communication to confident, workplace-ready communication.
The role involves classroom/online instruction, practical activities, assessments, learner feedback, and continuous improvement of training delivery.
The ideal candidate should be able to teach communication as a practical workplace skill, rather than focusing only on grammar or textbook-based English.
Key Responsibilities1. English Communication Training – Levels 1–4
Deliver structured English communication training across different proficiency levels, including:
Level 1 – English Communication & Confidence Building
- Basic spoken English
- Sentence formation
- Everyday vocabulary
- Basic grammar for communication
- Listening and comprehension
- Pronunciation fundamentals
- Building confidence to speak in English
- Conversational practice
- Overcoming hesitation and fear of speaking
Level 2 – Intermediate / Functional English
- Expanding vocabulary and sentence structures
- Conversational fluency
- Grammar in practical contexts
- Listening and comprehension
- Pronunciation and clarity
- Describing, explaining and expressing opinions
- Group discussions
- Situational communication
- Improving fluency and accuracy
Level 3 – Business & Workplace English
- Professional vocabulary
- Workplace conversations
- Email and written communication

3. Training Delivery
- Conduct interactive classroom, online and hybrid sessions.
- Use role plays, simulations, case studies, group discussions, presentations and real-world workplace scenarios.
- Encourage learners to communicate actively rather than relying on lecture-based teaching.
- Adapt teaching methods according to learner proficiency and learning requirements.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide individual guidance to learners who require additional support.
4. Assessment & Learner Development
- Conduct baseline assessments to understand learner proficiency.
- Evaluate speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
- Conduct periodic assessments and practical communication activities.
- Track learner progress across the program.
- Provide constructive and actionable feedback.
- Identify individual communication gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
- Maintain appropriate learner assessment and progress records.
5. Curriculum & Learning Material Development
- Develop or contribute to lesson plans, activities, worksheets and assessments.
- Create practical communication exercises relevant to students and working professionals.
- Update training content based on industry requirements and learner needs.
- Develop role plays, case studies, presentation topics and workplace simulations.
- Support the L&D team in improving course structure and learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence construction.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain language concepts in simple, practical terms.
- Ability to work with learners of different age groups and proficiency levels.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate hesitant or low-confidence learners.
- Strong feedback and coaching skills.
- Comfortable conducting both individual and group sessions.
- Good understanding of workplace and business communication.
- Ability to use digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in any of the following or a related discipline:
- English
- English Literature
- Communication
- Linguistics
- Education
- Business / Management
- Psychology
- Other relevant disciplines
A recognized certification in English language teaching, communication training or professional training will be an advantage.
Experience
Preferred: 2–5+ years of experience in:
- English language training

Candidates with strong practical training experience and demonstrated classroom effectiveness may also be considered irrespective of the exact number of years of experience.
