The Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Product Engineering team in Bangalore. This role will be responsible for leading product engineering and development across Faucets, Ceramics, Bathware & Kitchen products.
The Engineering Manager will drive technical standards, product specifications, quality consistency, NPD, engineering validation, and commercialisation while working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Sales, and global engineering teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead product engineering and development for faucets, ceramics, bathware, and kitchen products
- Drive collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
- Define, standardise, and benchmark product dimensions, brass sizes, component sizes, tolerances, and technical specifications
- Establish and initiate required product certifications and compliances
- Ensure consistent dimensions, fitment, functionality, and quality across manufactured, localised, and traded products
- Review and approve engineering drawings, BOMs, product specifications, prototypes, and samples
- Drive NPD, design validation, engineering trials, and product commercialisation
- Act as the key interface between Sales and Engineering for product-related technical queries, specifications, features, and feasibility
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams across casting, forging, machining, polishing, plating, and assembly
- Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimisation, product standardisation, and component commonisation
- Act as the India Engineering SPOC for the Bathware division and coordinate with global engineering and innovation teams
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Sourcing teams to ensure effective product development and technical execution
What We Are Looking For
Functional
- Strong expertise in Product Engineering and Product Development
- Drive collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
- Experience in Faucets, Sanitaryware, Bathware, or related products
- Strong understanding of product dimensions, tolerances, technical specifications, and component standardisation
- Proven experience in NPD, design validation, engineering trials, and commercialisation
- Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining, polishing, plating, and assembly
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, prototypes, samples, and product specifications
- Strong understanding of quality consistency, certifications, and product compliance
- Experience in value engineering, cost optimisation, and component commonisation
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX
- Exposure to PLM tools and ERP/SAP
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Our Ideal Match
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Product Engineering for Faucets, Sanitaryware, or Bathware products
- Proven experience in NPD, design validation, and engineering trials
- Experience working with Manufacturing and Sourcing teams on casting, forging, machining, polishing, plating, and assembly
- Experience in Sanitaryware, Bathware, Faucets, Tiles, Building Materials, or related industries will be an advantage
- Knowledge of DFMA/DFMEA and GD&T will be an advantage
- Strong command of English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages will be an advantage
