💼 About the Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will drive technology strategy, execution excellence, and scalable platform development while aligning engineering initiatives with business objectives.
You will play a key leadership role in delivering reliable, high-performing systems, building strong engineering teams, and enabling business growth through technology.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Drive scalable architecture decisions across platforms and services.
• Lead modernization initiatives, including microservices and automation.
• Ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and high-performing.
Engineering Delivery & Execution
• Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high quality standards.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices.
• Drive Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
Platform & System Management
• Manage core systems, including user management and authentication.
• Oversee billing, wallet, and payment-related systems.
• Support messaging platforms, including SMS and WhatsApp solutions.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Team Leadership & Development
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
• Define team structures, hiring plans, and capability development initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Sales, and Leadership teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans.

• Establish KPIs for engineering efficiency and delivery performance.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and incident management.
• Drive automation across testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards.
• Evaluate and onboard technology solutions and tools.
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
