Plant Manager, Engineering & Maintenance Opportunities – Refinery

The Company
Our client is an energy and petroleum downstream organization operating refinery facilities in Myanmar. With a strong focus on operational excellence, asset reliability, process optimization, safety and sustainable operations, the organization is strengthening its technical team to support refinery operations, commissioning, maintenance and continuous improvement.
The Positions
We are seeking experienced engineering professionals for the following refinery-based positions:
1. Plant Manager – Refinery
- Lead safe and efficient operations across ADU/CDU, Jet-A1 Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Production Units, covering production, optimization, process safety and plant reliability.
- Oversee refinery startup, shutdown, commissioning, performance testing, emergency response, operational KPIs and development of local operations teams.
- Requires 15–20+ years of refinery operations experience, including 5+ years in plant/operations leadership, with proven ADU/CDU, Jet-A1/Kerosene Hydrotreating and Hydrogen Unit experience.
2. Maintenance Manager
- Lead overall refinery maintenance covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, rotating equipment, reliability and maintenance planning.
- Drive preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, shutdowns, RCA, asset performance and technical team development.
- Requires 10+ years' experience in refinery, petrochemical, Oil & Gas or process industries, including 5+ years in leadership.
3. Process Engineer
- Monitor and optimize refinery processes to improve product recovery, efficiency, operational stability and profitability.
- Support process troubleshooting, material/energy balances, HAZOP, commissioning and optimization using Aspen HYSYS.
- Requires 5–10 years' process engineering experience within refining, petrochemical, petroleum processing or energy industries.
4. Control Room Panel Engineer
- Operate and monitor refinery processes through DCS, ESD and SIS, ensuring safe and stable operation of ADU/CDU, Jet-A1 Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Production Units.
- Manage process upsets, startup/shutdown, commissioning support, alarms, trips, interlocks, emergency response and coordination with field operators.
- Requires 10+ years of refinery operations experience, including 8+ years in CCR/Panel operations, with direct ADU/CDU, Jet-A1 Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Unit operating experience.
5. Rotary Engineer / Supervisor
- Manage maintenance and reliability of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, generators, blowers, fans and other rotating equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting, overhauls, predictive maintenance, vibration monitoring, RCA, shutdown and commissioning activities.
- Requires 7–10 years' rotating equipment experience within refinery, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, LNG, power or heavy industry.
6. Instrument Engineer / Supervisor
- Maintain and troubleshoot refinery instrumentation and control systems including PLC, DCS, HMI, ESD, interlocks and field instruments.
- Support calibration, loop checking, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, reliability improvement and technical training.
- Requires 5–10 years' I&C experience within refinery, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, LNG or process industries; Holysis DCS experience is mandatory.
The Person
Successful candidates will hold a relevant Engineering degree and bring solid experience from refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, energy or related process industries, depending on the position. Strong technical troubleshooting capability, commitment to HSE and operational excellence, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams are important.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a site-based refinery environment and participating in commissioning, startup, shutdown, maintenance and operational improvement activities. Good English communication skills are required, while experience working with international OEMs, EPC contractors and technical specialists will be advantageous.
