We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Bengaluru. The role involves testing and validating telecom products, identifying defects, troubleshooting issues, and supporting successful product releases.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Validation
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Test product features, configurations, rules, and traffic scenarios.
- Analyse logs, CDRs, and PCAP traces to troubleshoot issues.
- Identify, reproduce, track, and validate software defects.
- Perform root cause analysis and verify bug fixes.
- Support feature validation, UAT, and release testing.
- Prepare test cases, test reports, and release validation documents.
- Work closely with Development, Deployment, and Support teams to ensure product quality.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA inputs.
Required Skills
- Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Good understanding of test case design, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark / PCAP analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/RHEL and SQL/database queries.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of test automation or scripting is an added advantage.
Telecom Domain – Preferred
- Experience in the Telecom domain is preferred.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with any of the following protocols is an added advantage:
- SMPP
- SS7 / SIGTRAN
- Diameter
- SIP
- Exposure to SMS, voice, signaling, or telecom network elements is an added advantage.
- Experience with SMS Firewall / Voice Firewall or telecom fraud scenarios is a plus.
