Designation-Embedded Software Engineer (Automotive)

Position SummaryWe are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop deterministic, real-time embedded software for automotive ECUs built on Bare Metal or RTOS-based architectures. These domains require hard real-time performance and are commonly developed using Bare Metal, FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, Classic AUTOSAR, OSEK, ThreadX, Micrium, Integrity RTOS, or a proprietary RTOS. The role spans Powertrain, Chassis, Body Electronics, and related traditional ECU practices.
Key Responsibilities● Develop embedded C/C++ software for automotive ECUs running on Bare Metal or RTOS-based environments.
● Implement and debug task scheduling, interrupts, and inter-task communication within the chosen RTOS (or bare-metal scheduling loop).
● Develop and integrate peripheral drivers --- ADC, PWM, timers, CAN, LIN.
● Support Classic AUTOSAR or OSEK-based configuration where the project architecture requires it.
● Debug real-time timing, interrupt latency, and determinism issues on target hardware.
● Support unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
● Follow MISRA C and automotive coding/release discipline.
Required Technical Skills● Strong Embedded C/C++ programming.
● Hands-on experience with at least one of: Bare Metal, FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, Classic AUTOSAR, OSEK, ThreadX, Micrium, Integrity RTOS, Proprietary RTOS.
● CAN, LIN, and UDS diagnostics basics.
● Debugging using JTAG/Lauterbach/Trace32 or equivalent tools.
● Git, static analysis tools, and MISRA C awareness.
● Understanding of interrupt handling, memory management, and deterministic scheduling.

Soft Skills● Strong debugging and analytical mindset.
● Ability to work closely with hardware and validation teams.
● Clear documentation and communication.
Good to Have● ISO 26262 / functional safety awareness.
● AUTOSAR Classic MCAL configuration exposure.
● Exposure to calibration tools (XCP/CCP) for Powertrain-adjacent work.
