Role Description The Electrocardiograph Technician role at Cortel Healthcare Private Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruppatur. The technician will perform electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), set up and operate cardiac monitoring equipment, and assist with telemetry-based cardiac rhythm observation. Daily responsibilities include preparing patients for tests, explaining procedures clearly, ensuring accurate data collection, and documenting findings in accordance with clinical and organizational standards. The role also involves collaborating with cardiology and clinical teams, maintaining equipment, following safety and infection control protocols, and supporting timely, high-quality reporting that contributes to effective patient care.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cardiac Monitoring and Telemetry for accurate rhythm observation and data collection.
- Candidates should have foundational knowledge in Cardiology and Medical Terminology to interpret findings and communicate effectively with clinical teams.
- Candidates should demonstrate effective Communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Relevant education in cardiac technology, biomedical science, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Certification as an ECG or cardiac technician (e.g., CCT, CRAT or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow clinical protocols, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality are essential.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to evolving procedures and technology is beneficial.
