Role Description The Neuro Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Himayatnagar center. The Neuro Technician is responsible for performing neurodiagnostic procedures such as EEG, nerve conduction studies, and related tests as per physician orders and established protocols. Daily tasks include preparing patients for procedures, explaining test processes, operating neurodiagnostic equipment, and ensuring high-quality data collection. The role involves maintaining equipment, monitoring patient safety and comfort during tests, and documenting findings accurately in the diagnostic systems. The Neuro Technician collaborates with neurologists and other clinical staff, follows infection control and safety guidelines, and supports efficient workflow within the neurodiagnostic department.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in neurodiagnostics or allied health (such as Diploma in Neurotechnology, EEG/EMG technology, or equivalent); certification in neurodiagnostic technology is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience performing EEG, nerve conduction studies, and other basic neurodiagnostic procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting neurodiagnostic equipment and related software systems.
- Strong patient-care skills, including the ability to explain procedures clearly, maintain patient comfort, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording, labeling, and reporting test results, with adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with neurologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple appointments and ensure timely completion of procedures.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as needed and to participate in ongoing training to stay updated with advances in neurodiagnostic techniques.
