About Us
Powerlyt is a growing renewable energy engineering company specializing in utility-scale solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), substations, and power transmission & distribution projects. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical CAD Engineer to join our engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, cable schedules, termination schedules, panel layouts, and equipment layouts.
- Prepare electrical layouts for solar PV plants, BESS projects, substations, and LV/MV systems.
- Coordinate with electrical design engineers to incorporate design changes.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing registers and revision control.
- Support in preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in Electrical CAD drafting and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Good understanding of electrical engineering drawings and symbols.
- Knowledge of solar power plants, substations, or industrial electrical systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in renewable energy projects (Solar/BESS).
- Knowledge of cable routing, grounding layouts, and switchgear drawings.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
