We are seeking an experienced and passionate PGT English to inspire senior secondary students through engaging, learner-centric, and outcome-driven teaching practices. The ideal candidate should possess excellent subject expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to Senior Secondary (Grades XI–XII) students.
- Plan and deliver interactive, curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans in accordance with academic guidelines.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills.
- Encourage literary appreciation through novels, poetry, drama, debates, presentations, and creative writing.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments with timely evaluation and constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for Board Examinations through structured revision plans and examination strategies.
- Maintain high academic standards and continuously monitor student progress.
Classroom Management
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Use differentiated instructional strategies to address diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools to enhance classroom engagement.
- Promote inquiry-based and experiential learning methodologies.
Student Development
- Mentor students in academic and personal growth.
- Encourage participation in literary clubs, elocution, debates, Model United Nations, theatre, and writing competitions.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial guidance.
Assessment & Documentation
- Design question papers, assignments, projects, and assessment rubrics.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student portfolios.
- Prepare progress reports and participate in parent-teacher interactions.
Collaboration & School Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development programmes, workshops, and school events.
- Support school initiatives, examinations, admissions, and co-curricular activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in English from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Strong command over English language, literature, grammar, and communication.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational technology.
Preferred Experience
- 3–8 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE school.
- Proven track record of producing excellent Board Examination results.
- Experience in conducting literary activities and student enrichment programmes will be an added advantage.
