Role Description The Economics K12 Teacher will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in Economics and Business Economics for school-level learners, aligned with curriculum standards and Filo’s academic framework. Day-to-day responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment of student progress, and providing individualized support to help learners build strong conceptual understanding and practical application skills. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials, integrate educational technology where appropriate, and contribute to co-curricular academic initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, requiring regular presence at the designated Filo teaching location.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Economics, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for K12 students.
- Proficiency in Teaching and Lesson Planning, including creating structured lesson plans and delivering interactive, student-centered instruction.
- Background in Education, pedagogy, or related fields, with an understanding of K12 learning standards and assessment methods.
- Relevant degree in Economics, Commerce, Education, or a closely related discipline; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
- Effective classroom management, clear communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse learners in a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Comfort with basic educational technology tools and willingness to adopt innovative teaching methods aligned with Filo’s learning ethos.
- Prior experience teaching Economics at school level is highly beneficial; experience with board exam preparation (e.g., K12 national or state boards) is a plus.
