Job Title:
Associate Manager – Site Merchandising (ae.igp.com)
Reports To
Senior Manager - D2C Growth, Merchandising & Analytics
Direct Reports
1 Executive - Site Merchandising
Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented, data-driven Site Merchandising Manager to own website merchandising and performance optimization for ae.igp.com, with UAE/international market exposure highly preferred. This role is responsible for keeping homepage, category, landing, PLP, and PDP accurate, visually consistent, and optimized for conversion, while also managing an executive who handles day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate can operate at two levels: setting the merchandising strategy and prioritization, and ensuring flawless execution through their direct report. They work closely with design, category, tech, and marketing teams, and are comfortable being the point of accountability for site health and conversion performance on ae.igp.com.
Key Responsibilities
1. Website & Merchandising Management
- Own merchandising across category pages, landing pages, PLPs, PDPs, homepage, and campaign pages.
- Ensure products, banners, and creatives are accurately live and updated on schedule.
- Monitor product availability daily; flag and resolve out-of-stock or inactive listings promptly.
- Maintain visual consistency and a smooth user experience across the site.
2. Creative & Banner Performance
- Manage placement and rotation of homepage and category-page creatives/banners.
- Track creative performance (CTR, placement effectiveness, engagement) and recommend optimizations based on the data.
3. Page Performance Monitoring
- Monitor page-level KPIs - CTR, conversion rate, exit rate, bounce rate, and traffic trends.
- Identify underperforming pages, diagnose likely causes, and propose corrective actions.
4. SKU-Level Performance Tracking
- Track SKU-level CTR, conversion rate, sales, revenue contribution, and availability.
- Flag bestsellers, low performers, and stock-outs; coordinate with category teams to improve visibility of high-potential SKUs.
5. Reporting & Insights
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Proactively surface issues - site performance, availability, creative effectiveness, conversion drops - before they're asked about.
- Escalate critical issues with a clear recommendation, not just a flag.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work with design/creative teams on banner and content execution.
- Work with category teams on assortment, pricing, and availability fixes.
- Work with tech teams to log and follow through on bug fixes affecting the site.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure campaign pages and offers go live accurately and on time.
7. Team Management & Execution Oversight
- Manage and mentor an executive, setting priorities, reviewing output quality, and ensuring timely execution of day-to-day merchandising tasks.
- Build SOPs/checklists for recurring merchandising tasks (banner uploads, PLP/PDP updates, stock checks) so execution quality doesn't depend on any one person.
- Review your direct report's work before it goes live on key pages/campaigns; own the outcome, not just the assignment.
8. Strategic & Planning Support
- Support the Senior Manager during festive/seasonal demand planning by providing on-ground merchandising and catalog readiness input.
- Contribute merchandising-side inputs into the yearly AOP process (conversion benchmarks, catalog gaps, UX asks) for ae.igp.com specifically.
- Conduct periodic price-gap and assortment benchmarking against key UAE/regional competitors, and share findings with category teams.
- Own market-specific nuances for ae.igp.com (currency, local holidays/festive calendar, regional consumer behavior, competitor landscape) - this is what differentiates the role from a purely domestic merchandising position.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-7 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital commerce, or a related analytics-heavy role, with UAE or broader international market experience highly preferred.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring at least one team member/executive.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; comfortable working with large datasets to find the "why" behind a number.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Power BI, Excel/Google Sheets, and Mixpanel (or similar web/product analytics tools).
- Solid understanding of website KPIs and conversion funnels.
- Close attention to detail - this role is the last line of defense before something goes live incorrectly.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently, manage a direct report, and coordinate across teams without hand-holding.
Key Success Metrics
- Improvement in CTR and conversion rate across owned pages.
- Revenue growth attributable to merchandising initiatives.
- Reduction in exit rates on key pages.
- Accuracy and timeliness of website updates
- Speed of issue identification and resolution.
- Product availability and merchandising hygiene (minimal OOS/dead SKUs live)
