Role Description The Doctor will provide primary health care services to communities in and around Noamundi, delivering patient consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care in alignment with national and organizational clinical protocols. This full-time, on-site role involves conducting outpatient services, managing common acute and chronic conditions, and ensuring appropriate referrals for higher-level care when needed. The Doctor will participate in health camps, community outreach activities, and health education sessions, with an emphasis on maternal and child health, nutrition, adolescent health, and non-communicable diseases. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to data-driven quality improvement. The role also involves mentoring clinical staff, supporting training initiatives, and upholding ethical, patient-centered care in resource-limited settings.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in primary health care, including management of maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, and common acute illnesses.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in resource-constrained and rural environments.
- Proficiency in maintaining clear medical documentation, using electronic or paper-based health records, and following established clinical protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients and families, deliver health education, and collaborate with nurses, community health workers, and program staff.
- Commitment to gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-discriminatory care, with sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Noamundi, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and a strong sense of professional ethics.
