Wealth Sales – HNI •Bengaluru • Full-time• 0–2 years experience •Ionic Wealth
About Ionic Wealth
Ionic Wealth is the wealth management business of Angel One, one of India's largest listed retail broking platforms. That parentage gives us capital, distribution reach and regulatory maturity from day one. What we do with it is entirely our own build.
Our clients are money-rich and time-poor. They have built serious wealth through a business, a career or a liquidity event, and have little bandwidth to look after it properly. What they lack is not access to products — it is someone who will do the thinking and be reachable when it matters. Closing that gap is the business: research-led portfolios, open architecture across asset classes, and a service standard that holds up.
- Scale. ₹13,400 Cr+ in assets as of June 2026, having crossed the $1 billion mark within 22 months of launch. 2,400+ HNI clients, 260+ people, presence across 10+ cities.
- Clients. HNI and UHNI individuals and families, typically with portfolios of ₹50 lakh and above.
- Solutions. PMS, AIF and SIF strategies, bonds, unlisted equity and mutual funds — alongside RSU planning and family office services for clients who need them.
- Technology. Ionic Wealth AI gives a client a clear read on their entire portfolio — allocation gaps, concentration, cost and tax drag — and gives you the same view in minutes rather than days. Built for both sides of the table.
The role, in one line
We find the clients. You have the conversations that convert them.
This is a digital-first client role. Ionic sources and filters the pipeline centrally — you receive prospects who already have ₹50 lakh+ portfolios or who have actively approached us to invest. The filtering is deliberate: we would rather you spend your week on fifteen serious portfolio conversations than on two hundred dials.
Which means the job is not persuasion by persistence. When someone has already agreed to show you their portfolio, what closes them is whether you can look at it and say something true and useful that nobody has said to them before.
What you'll do
- Engage the leads assigned to you. Reach out fast, establish credibility early, and set up the portfolio review. Contact rate and response time are yours to own — a qualified lead that goes cold is expensive.
- Run real portfolio reviews. Pull apart what the client currently holds: concentration, overlap, cost drag, tax inefficiency, performance against a fair benchmark. Show them their own portfolio in a way they have not seen it before.
- Introduce our offerings where they fit. Map the gaps you find to the right Ionic solution across PMS, AIF, SIF, bonds, unlisted equity and mutual funds.
- Convert. Move the prospect from interested to invested. Handle objections, involve product specialists or senior RMs when the ticket warrants it, and close.
- Onboard cleanly. Risk profiling, documentation, KYC, account opening and first investment — coordinating with operations, compliance and product so nothing stalls on your watch.
- Hold the early relationship. The first few months decide whether a client stays. Answer the statement queries, explain the first drawdown, and be reachable.
What you'll get out of it
- The honest pitch for this role is the volume and quality of client exposure, compressed. A front-row view of how a wealth platform gets built, at the stage where your input still changes it.
- In a conventional wealth role, a new RM spends the first two years finding someone to talk to. Here that part is handled, so you get to the actual work immediately — and you will have more substantive portfolio conversations in a year than most RMs accumulate in four.
- Fluency across the full wealth shelf — PMS, AIF, SIF, bonds, unlisted equity, mutual funds — instead of one product you were given a target on.
- Mentorship from senior RMs and private bankers.
What we're looking for
- 0–2 years in wealth management, broking, private banking, investment sales or a related client-facing financial role. Freshers with a real grounding in markets are welcome; so is someone early enough that the habits are still forming.
- Working knowledge of mutual funds and PMS, and the ability to read a portfolio and form a view. Exposure to AIFs, bonds or unlisted equity is a plus, not a filter.
- Process orientation. This is a volume business, and volume only works with process. We want people who run on a system rather than on memory.
- Relevant NISM certifications in place or clearable quickly. CWM, CFP or progress towards CFA is a bonus.
- Clear, confident spoken English plus at least one other Indian language. On a digital desk, your voice and your reasoning are the entire product.
- Graduate or postgraduate, preferably in finance, commerce, economics or business.
What this role is not
It is not cold calling, and it is not field sales — the top of the funnel is built for you. It is also not a training programme. You will get product support, research and mentorship, but you will be on live calls with real prospects within your first few weeks.
