Role Description The Design Engineer will work on mechanical product and machine design projects, translating client requirements into robust, manufacturable concepts and detailed engineering solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, supporting DFMA/DFMEA activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective, first-time-right designs. The role involves coordinating with manufacturing and automation teams, contributing to validation and technical documentation, and assisting in troubleshooting design-related issues during prototyping and industrialization. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, requiring close interaction with internal teams and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial and commercial applications.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering skills, including fundamentals of materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and tolerance specification.
- Candidates should possess a working understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to machinery, automation, and integrated systems.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in machine design, industrial automation, packaging or pharmaceutical equipment, or manufacturing optimization is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret standards, prepare technical documentation, and support validation and SOP development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
