Role Description This is a full-time Civil Draftsman role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with some work-from-home flexibility. The Civil Draftsman will prepare and revise detailed technical drawings and 2D/3D models for civil engineering projects such as bridges, flyovers, elevated metros, cooling towers, chimneys, jetties, and related infrastructure. Daily tasks include interpreting engineering sketches and specifications, developing accurate plans and sections, and coordinating with engineers to resolve design and drafting issues. The role involves ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements, maintaining organized drawing records, and updating documentation throughout the design lifecycle. The Civil Draftsman will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support tender submissions, detailed design, and construction documentation, while meeting project timelines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
· 2-10 years' experience as a Draftsman within the infrastructure projects especially bridges.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and creating detailed Engineering Drawings.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in civil and structural projects.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans, specifications, and standards.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in dimensioning, and commitment to quality documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers and project teams.
- Prior experience in infrastructure, bridges, or industrial structures drafting is an advantage.
