Maruti Suzuki India Limited, BU Hansalpur plant is a subsidiary of Maruti Suzuki India Limited to produce automobiles from Gujarat, was established in March 2014, aiming to secure production ability in preparation for the automobile market growth in India, as well as for expansion of exports from India. In MSIL – BU Hansalpur, Plant A started operating from February 2017, subsequently Plant B, Powertrain Plant started in January 2019. In October 2020, MSIL-BU Hansalpur became the fastest production site of Maruti Suzuki to achieve accumulated automobile production of 1 million units. MSIL – Hansalpur is also home of Maruti Suzuki’s prestigious e-Vitara, the first EV of Maruti Suzuki in world. The plant proudly exported the e-Vitara to more than 165 countries so far. Today, Maruti Suzuki has its eyes set firmly on the possibilities of tomorrow.
About the Role
The Deputy Manager Administration will be responsible for managing company's transportation ensuring seamless service deliver, effective vendor management, cost control, regulatory compliance and high employee satisfaction. The role is accountable for strategic planning, operational efficiency, safety management, and continuous improvement of transport services. The ideal candidate should have hand on experience of managing end to end operation of employee transportation with large number of fleet vehicles including buses and cars.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end employee transportation operations, including bus and car fleet services, route planning, vehicle deployment, occupancy optimization, and daily service monitoring to ensure safe and timely employee movement.
- Lead transport and uniform vendor management, including RFQ processes, contract administration, performance reviews, service quality monitoring, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive budgeting, cost control, and billing governance for transportation and uniform operations, including budget preparation, invoice verification, provision planning, payment processing, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure regulatory, safety, and company compliance by monitoring vehicle documentation, driver training, transportation audits, ISO requirements, contracts, and statutory obligations.
- Oversee uniform procurement, inventory, storage, and issuance processes to ensure timely availability, stock accuracy, quality compliance, and seamless support for new and existing employees.
- Monitor service performance through MIS, audits, and employee feedback, driving continuous improvement in transportation reliability, employee satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop the transport and uniform operations team, establishing clear KPIs, conducting performance reviews, building capabilities, and fostering a culture of ownership, safety, and customer service excellence.
- Manage stakeholder communication and support business requirements, including special transportation arrangements, grievance resolution, management reporting, and cross-functional coordination with HR, Finance, Purchase, and Operations teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, MBA preferred. certificate in employee transport/fleet management will be given added advantage. The candidate should have 8 to 18 years of experience with leading companies in managing employees fleet.
