We’re Hiring! | Deputy Chief Engineer | South Avenue Mall, Jabalpur 🏢
Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to take the helm at Jabalpur's leading retail and entertainment destination?
South Avenue Mall is looking for a Deputy Chief Engineer to drive operational excellence, manage complex facility infrastructure, and lead our technical operations team.
In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations across HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, BMS, and fire safety protocols—ensuring an exceptional, safe environment for thousands of daily visitors, retail partners, and multiplex guests.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electro-mechanical operations (HVAC, Chiller plants, DG sets, Transformers, BMS).
- Execute preventive & predictive maintenance schedules across mall infrastructure.
- Ensure strict compliance with local safety regulations, fire safety standards, and environmental norms.
- Optimize utility consumption, energy efficiency, and operational budgets.
- Supervise third-party vendors, technical staff, and engineering contractors.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Train, schedule, evaluate, and lead daily maintenance personnel operations.
- Facility Operations: Oversee overall mall management, daily office operations, and tenant/vendor/client relations.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform and supervise servicing of HVAC, generators, plumbing, electrical, pumps, AHUs, and automated systems.
- Contracts & Administration: Handle CAM calculations, AMC/Warranty tracking, invoice processing, inventory control, and supply ordering.
- Safety & Compliance: Manage key controls, execute emergency responses, coordinate fire drills, and ensure statutory license compliance.
- System Improvements: Develop safety manuals, optimize preventive maintenance programs, and log detailed engineering reports.
What We're Looking For:
Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Facilities Engineering.
Experience: 6–10 years in MEP operations (prior experience in commercial real estate, malls, hotels, or large retail facilities highly preferred).
Skills: Strong team leadership, emergency response, budget planning, and vendor management.
